Mindfest is coming...

Big Idea: Mindfest is coming early this year and the teens at ALA and the Boys & Girls Club are reviving up for the big event.

Time: The whole month of August anytime that they are free.

Participants: Design IT coaches from all the sites, Boys & Girls Club teens , the Applied Learning Academy, and the interns that where previous Design IT Studio members.


Activity: Everyone has been pitching in to get ready for MindFest on September 8th & 9th. This years theme for MindFest is Trip the Light Fantastic. The Design IT teens are getting crash courses in Spirograghs, Animation Zone, Building-A-Blinkybug, Scratch Animation, Stomp Rocket, Light Painting, Throwies, and many more events. In the picture above, Tyler has just completed his yellowjacket blinky bug. The interns that are coming to the studios had been building wandering wands activity seen in the pictures below. We are excited and pump for the big day!

Best part: Everyone in the Design It Studio program has been extremely helpful towards building cool projects forMindFest.

Worst Part: MindFest is a week away!
